In 1970, the King of Kings, Raza Shah Pehlavi decided to celebrate the 2500th anniversary of Persian Empire. He wanted this celebration to be something never happened before so began the preparations for the Party in the Desert.
The planning for the party took more than a year.A new city in the Desert near Shiraz was created for this grand party, thousands of trees and flowers were planted in this Festival City. The heads of States of almost every country was invited in this party and this party cost the Iranian Nation 650 million Dollars.
